How mindfulness helped me stay focused, calm, and collected

I competed for the title of Miss Pennsylvania Teen USA for 3 years. This year I am so grateful to have achieved my dream and a goal I set for myself since I was little. This year I went in with a completely different mindset. With mindfulness as one of my greatest tools all of the different stressors of competing did not throw me off of staying calm and focused. My affirmation for that weekend was "Whatever is meant to happen will happen." Thinking like that makes you realize that not everything needs to go right, and when things do not go how you expected you know it is all for what is meant to happen in the end. My greatest advice to you is to set a goal, stay focused on that goal, and know that everything happens for a reason, and it will all work out how it is meant to.
